Those who know me well are aware that I am a "membership aficionado." I believe that if you are going to spend money in a certain area, it makes sense to concentrate your spending in one place to maximize your returns. Take Cathay Pacific, for example. Despite the occasional frustrations and grievances, I have remained a loyal member. My loyalty isn't driven by the hardware, but by the fact that the more I fly, the more points I accumulate, granting me exclusive perks like tier upgrades, priority check-in, priority boarding, and priority baggage handling. In reality, being a "privilege member" is much like having a "Fast Pass" at a theme park; the more you are willing to spend and consume, the more rights and privileges you naturally enjoy.

 

I recall a business trip where my team and I returned to Hong Kong. Since I was flying business class, we parted ways upon landing to collect our baggage. On my way home, I received a call from a colleague who was still clearing customs, while I was already approaching the Tsing Ma Bridge. They were astonished, joking that they only saw me when we boarded, and then I vanished! On another occasion, while on a business trip to Osaka and Singapore, our return flight was canceled. My colleagues were initially worried about being stranded overnight, but by leveraging my membership status, I was able to secure seats for the entire team to return home smoothly. I understand and enjoy playing by the rules of membership programs. That is why when I travel abroad, I often choose to stay at Marriott properties. On a recent trip to Guangzhou, for instance, I stayed at the Sheraton in the Tianhe District. The original room rate was over 900 RMB, but thanks to my status, I was upgraded to a suite with early check-in, late check-out, and complimentary access to the executive lounge for breakfast, afternoon tea, and drinks.

 

I am certain that there are many others out there who enjoy researching membership programs just as much as I do—some may even be better at playing the game than I am. To our surprise, the data showed these super fans are genuine guests who spent over one million Japanese Yen—roughly 10,000 HKD—on FMI rentals within a single year. Moreover, they didn't just stick to one or two properties; they stayed in various FMI rentals, showing even more support than our own staff! We are thrilled to have such loyal customers and are committed to retaining them by providing even better service.

 

The OKINI membership program, meticulously crafted by our team, features five tiers: Wanderer, Explorer, Traveler, Titanium, and Ambassador. Wanderer is our entry-level tier, offering a 5% discount on bookings immediately upon joining, along with a surprise birthday gift. As members climb the tiers, they unlock additional perks. Higher-tier members enjoy deeper booking discounts and a host of exclusive, thoughtful services.These include flexible check-in and check-out times, as well as the two practical services I personally value most:1. Japanese Restaurant Reservations: As many know, securing a table at popular restaurants in Japan is nearly impossible without speaking the language. We handle this for you.2.
